Why??? Wheels do nothing for performance. As stated before I'n not spending $3k for bling. Much rather have the power vs bling.

Well, that's not exactly true. A lighter wheel will help the suspension work better. Less rotational mass will of course help with acceleration and braking. It's certainly better than an underdrive pulley IMO.

Not the most cost efficient upgrade I agree, but anything helps.

How says that bling is bad anyways?

My upgrade list is pretty short. Y-back exhaust for a perty sound and a set of Koni sport dampers. Plus 17in wheels for the track and voilà!

Robert if you don't want to spend a ton on wheels go for a used set of the new 18/19 Rays fact set up. Those are dead sexy IMO.

I'm happy with the stock 18" wheels that are on there now.

But only around $700 on revup (MRev2+spacer) to get that tq back.

Sorry folks, just had to jump in on that. I really hate the revup vs. non-revup pissing matches and normally wouldn't say a word, but I can see it is all in good fun in this thread so added a couple cents to the arguments. I think we'll all get a bit humbled when the HR hits the streets. IMO, if you have any Z, it's all good.

Welcome back though Robert_K, nice to see you enjoying your hard earned upgrades. Glad you made it back safely. Ah, and stocker rims/body = all good to me, I'm kinda going down that same path myself. Stock appearance with some gains doesn't quite make a sleeper Z, but still might surprise a few.

Robert_K,

Nice car, nice list of mods.

One thing tho, I beg you to get rid of the stock exhaust and get better flowing aftermarket exhaust.
No point of having test pipes when you can't let out all that pressure.
Since you have UTEC also, you'll benefit more from aftermarket exhuast
if you retune it with it.

Thanks... And it is in good fun. I've never really cared about a Revup vs. non-Revup battle. Rims will come when the cash comes.

I was planning on getting the Tanabe Touring w/ Tanabe y-pipe this month but choose to wait. Bought the Hotchkis TVS kit instead. Just couldn't pass up $349 shipped NEW for springs & sways. Should be ordering new rear KDW tires next month and hopefully after that I'll get the cat-back.

If you wanted power gains why didn't you just save all that money you spent on n/a mods and invest it towards turbo?? You wouldve had half or even more of that money torwards real power gains!!

I'm not building a 400-500whp monster. Also all my mods will work with any F/I except for the Pulley & maybe the PopCharger.
