when we had an ice storm in VA 2 years ago (when i had my old saturn) the ONLY cars i saw that were COMPLETLY unable to move and just sitting on the side of the highway spinning tires fruitlessly was Z's. They probably still had the Bstones on there...but still, the ONLY car that couldn't go ANYWHERE. thats when i knew i needed to buy a beater and ended up with an aerostar which has 10+ Canadian winters under it's belt

Completely disagree. Every winter around here, more often than not the ones I see off the road are the jerkoffs in their SUVs that think they can drive 95mph in the snow and ice just because of what they drive. I'll put a Z, a competent driver and a set of Winter Sports up against a lot of cars in most winter conditions.

Ice storms - completely different story. Its not about driving on ice, its about stopping on ice and nothing drives on ice, not even an SUV.

Dad already drove the Z in a bit of snow and ice. No problem. It was after the Seahawks Monday night football, he was stuck in the traffic and didn't get home until 2:30 AM, but the Z handled fine.

I came back up to school without my Z because I knew it was going to dump snow so I left it home, soon as I got into town there was like 3 inches on the ground and I saw the other guy in town with his BRAND NEW 06 TRACK coming down the hill slippin and sliding all over.

This kid is no older than like 23 and paid 35 cash for the car (mommy daddy) I was like he's insane to be drivin that thing in the snow.

thank god i live in LA and don't need to worry about these problems. 30+ is my hope, it would make for a lot of cool threads and a few less Z's out there is better... too many people have Z's nowadays.

I voted 10 +. I'm definetly not taking the chances but i somehow doubt we'll see much snow this year. If we do though, i'll sled to work if i have to.

I woke up at 5am this morning and saw that we got our first snowfall. There was about 2in on the roads so i took the Z out. With good snow tires its fine. Its a little hard to get moving if you stop on a hill but it handles and brakes well. It takes a careful right foot and if you have VDC it does a good job of keeping the car headed in the right direction. It all comes down to what tires you're using. This thing is a blast in parking lots too!
