Not true. It all depends on knowing the car, the clutch and how to shift. With a good driver *cough* you can power shift at any RPM.

lol you're not going to take what I say out of context and get away with it..

We were talking about casual daily driving - not speed shifting, power shifting, or how to replace transmissions.

Yes, I own a 06 G35coupe 6MT, and the on the 1-2 shift...the RPM's drop very slowly. It "hangs" for way too long. It is due to the heavy flywheel. My car is a lease, so Im not doing heavy modding, but if it was a purchase, id swap out for the JWT setup. You can speed up the 1-2 shift by applying a lil more gas than usual before you let up the clutch fully. Ive found the optimal RPM for the 1-2 shift is 3K. 3rd gear is a lil tricky too, where you have to feather a lil more than usual or else the car lurches forward. Ive basically mastered shifting on this car, but it took me quite a while. The car lets you clearly know if your shifting is on point or not. If you take too long, the car tugs very hard. If you shift too fast without feathering enough, the car will lurch forward. You just have to perfect it right in the middle. Anyone who got the gracefulness, should be able to master it. One thing I will say, after learning the 6MT, I drove an RSX Type-S 6MT, and holy sh*t is that thing so easy to drive compared to my coupe.

It just seems like once I perform 3 or 4 series of perfect shifts I follow it up with a few lurches or tugs on the next series of shifts, oh well still love the thing.
