Wow, I love threads like this
... I think there should be a forum here strictly for Consumers titled Dealer Reviews or something..

The cost of credit card "chargebacks" is also a tangible expense. There is also the cost of wages for human resources utilized in the returned merchandise process, since this is invariably time consuming.
I'm not jumping on the "caveat emptor" bandwagon... but terms are terms and provided there was no smallprint b.s., it is difficult to make a case condemning HopUp in this instance IMO; although I can sympathize with the buyer's disappointment but not anger.

+1.
Its up to us as consumers to read the terms of the sale prior to actually buying something. If you don't agree with them, don't do business with the company! Don't forget even the large B&B stores such as BB, Circuit City, etc. also charge 15% restocking fees on electronics.
to OP,
you shouldn't be calling out vendors without giving out the detailed info.
With that said, their prices are pretty cheap. I've bought some side skirts from them a long time ago and the product was as expected. Also, guys who gets the phone sounds like a bunch of unprofessional kids with terribly communication skills. They don't return phone calls, don't notify you that products aren't in stock.. very flimsy business practice.

To the OP,
This is typical when you buy from a Company that doesn't stock anything!
Is it wrong to charge that much, sure it is, but I guess you shoulda read the fine print!
GL with your $100 product!
