Default Dimensions vs. 300ZX

I used to have a 2 seater 300 and loved the low slung wide look of the body. I was suprised at how much taller the 350Z looks next to the 300! While I know it is only a matter of inches, the vertical lights and front design aid the appearance of height. I was wondering if anyone else had the same feelings. Also does anyone have the actual numbers to compare the roofline height of the two cars? I would love to see one of those shadow overlays so we could compare the two bodies! One from the front and one from the side.

Maybe they measured cargo capacity differently back then. I hear there is like three different ways to measure. I don't think the old one had that much unless it had a lot of room behind the seats that may have counted.

Am I reading the length right, It cant be, the 350Z seems so much shorter than the 2 seater 300ZX...but thats a good thing, I loved the length of the 300ZX.

Thanks for the info guys. Does anybody who has actually sat in the 350 know if you sit as low as you did in the 300? I loved the feeling of pulling up next to a sedan and being below the people's shoulers!

I felt pretty low in it. And the door panels rise high up to my shoulders, or where my shoulder joint is. But I like to recline a little bit during normal driving so that's the way I adjusted it.
