man candaddy, I'm so in your shoes man. Well my accident was nowhere near as bad as this and the damages only added up to be $10,000 but I am getting my z back first week of January 2007.
And yes They also Did charge me with wreckless driving, NO WITNESSES whatsoever and I was going about 35 mph when this all happened
I have a lawyer and I'm ready to fight this off

The fact that it was a back road and no witnesses means it's pretty hard for the cop to prove their speculation and with a decent attorney (and hopefully a decent record prior to now) he should be able to get off with just the fine, it that even.

Not quite off topic here but amusing...
One time I got into a major accident and at the same time I had a backpack full of **** that I was helping my friend hold on to (he was moving and still living with his parents). The last thing on my mind wasn't the stupid ladies life for running the stop sign but what would happen to the **** if I left it there. I grabbed it, won my case against her and enjoyed a great DP flick.

Hmm, about now you'll be very thankful that the zed's pedals break away under servere frontal impact. Hope we don't have anymore in the community find this out the hard way. Oh, and bet you're glad you drive left hand drive, if that was in a lot of other countries, well eeeeek!!!
Awesome you walked away.

When I got in my wreck I was doing 105mph and the cop estimated my speed by "highway standards" that I was doing at least 85. Only a jackass idiot would "fight" something where they were totally and obviously 100% at fault... typical american thing to do right? In my case I talked to the DA who had mercy on me. I did not try to fight anything... more like beg for leniency because I was damn lucky to even be alive. The DA dropped my ticket to two installments of $25 and put me on driving probation. You can fight your little heart out though....
