Default Ran the Z on the G-Tech Today

I ran the G-tech earlier today. I ran the 1/8th mile once, and I had traction control turned off. was able to run a 9.36 in the 1/8th. I had a 60ft time of 2.44. My 0 to 60 time was 5.69 seconds. I was not able to launch over 1,000 rpm because I would spin. I had to ease into the gas. The car currently has 225 tires on the back. This is a pretty good time with no traction. I will be getting new tires and wheels this spring. I think that my car could get in the 8's with some good traction. It was 34 degrees outside.

Why would someone put 225's on the rear of their Z?

That is what is on the back of my 2005 Enthusiast. I got the car used with 12,000 miles on it.

Wait a minute... So you're saying that you did 0-60mph in 5.69 seconds with a 60' time of 2.44? That doesn't sound right. I don't believe that. With that logic, I'm doing about 5 seconds to 60mph whenever I cut 2.0s 60' at the drag strip. I always wondered how accurate those things were..

Isn't 225 the width of the front tires?

You should have a 235 series IIRC.

GTECH's are decent, Id say the 1/8 is correct, the 0-60 sounds a little too quick for your 60ft, but its close....btw trying speed runs in 34 degree weather on 225's is retarded lol

I would not even attempt timing myself when the temperature is 34 degrees. Still I guess that the G-Tech thing is fun.

it happens when the Z's tires are rotated by mistake.

Curious what you ran down the 1/4 and what your 60ft was. I hope your reffering to a real track and not a GTECH btw..

It’s a bit of an unusual set-up but no big deal. The 17-inch rear OEM tires are only 235mm wide.

It's a big deal if you want any kind of real traction. I would definitely get wider rubber, at least in the rear.

Wonder if the OP got his hands on a Z used extensively for drifting... How unfortunate.

1.98 second 60-foot time on 235mm street tires. Some might consider that real traction.
