For the daily driver Z's...
Im 6'2" 250, and all leg. Length wise, I have no room to spare. Just enough to get me by on ALMOST any length trip. Width, however, for me is better than most cars, let alone a 2 seater sc like the z. I couldn't be happier. Mine is a daily driver, no spare cars in the garage.....and no garage.......sucks!
As for snow, snow tires are a must. If you have driven one of these for any amount of time on dry pavement, you know that traction can be broken at the drivers leisure. On snow however, it will easily go without permission, one must pay attention.
But that is why we drive these anyway. If we wanted a car to do the work, we would have bought a lexus!

I came out of an 04 Sentra 1.8S daily driver. Only con that I have is the poor mileage, compared to the Sentra, but that's what I get for getting rid of the econobox, and getting a sports car...
I went from a 2001 eclipse gt to a 2006 350Z
I love the Z! I'm 6'1" 190lbs and as long as you respect the power it's a great everyday driver. If you were worried about gas you wouldn't be looking into a sports car. As far as the ride quality keep the stock springs or go with Tanabe which are only 10% harder than stock and still drop you 1.2" F+R
I've driven it in winter weather in Indiana 45min. from chicago and had no problems. Just be extra careful knowing what it can do power wise rwd and leave the TCS on during the winter(only lol). Enjoy!

I got my 06 a couple of days before christmas and havn't put a lot of milles on it yet.
But got on a sorry rode the other day and "man" I thought, is this thing built like a harley hard tail?
I couldn't imagine putting harder springs on this thing.
I'm starting a mental list of roads to avoid......

My 05 base will be 2 years old next week and has 46,000 miles on it. My wife hates to drive so we take the Z everywhere we go, 99.9% of the time. I think I have been in her car twice in the last 12 months. I drive it all winter long with snow tires and my street does not get plowed. If you asked me I would say go for it.

And thats a fact. Other than that, mine is a daily driver in Ohio and I have only had to put it away for a couple of days each winter, none so far this year (going to be 60 here today!) Leave the VDC on when it rains. The Z gives me something to look forward to at the end of a long day at work. 40 months and 48k miles - only 2 warranty related issues. Also drove 650 miles straight in a day and never once felt uncomfortable (5' 11" 160 lbs)
