Heres my serious advise.

Just go test drive it... anyone telling you how it felt to drive a Z the first time or even a car the first is totally different from what you'll think. But when i first drove it... i felt really low to the ground and felt pretty powerful.. and that was from only a 15 minute test drive

Maybe the Gov't will pitch in and give those english lessons to most of southern Florida. (no offense to the english speaking Floridians)

Awww dont be so mean.

The first time i drove my brand new Z i freaked out...man those blindspots are huge!!! and where the hell is my glove box? where was i to put the owners manual etc..? No problem i thought, here comes the freeway. I floored it and after the initial surge of low end torque, i felt pretty much nothing. The power band just drops waay off after about 4500 RPMs. I wish nissan hadn't used pushrods in this engine. So i decided to take the Z out around some corners. The car would build up to its limits and then understeer relentlessly. I was actually smoking my front tires around the corners. It just felt so boring. Of course if i floored it around any corners in anything less than 6th gear, the back end would fly out. Also the transmission was totally notchy and it has a feature that skips from 1st to 6th under normal circumstances to save on fuel, which is like 10 mpg city 12 highway. In short i found myself really wishing i had VTEK since that would be way faster and a lot more exciting. Also the sound of a honda 4 cylinder is widely known to sound waaay better and more manly.

In short i severely regret getting this car.

I hope this honest to god account of my first moments in my Z has been helpful, and will aid you in your future descision when purchasing a car.

i smile everytime i drive it.. for 2 reasons... ive wanted one since they came out and LOVE comming from AWD to RWD and plus there was a few members on here who doubted i had a Z (or any other car i stated i owned) so knowing that i drive a Z daily and they probably dont yet doubt me it just makes me enjoy my car that much more...

Guys, don't scare him away!! It's been a very entertaining thread!! Almost as much as the Jason vs. Derek and I sold my grey F&F Z for $70k thread.

Im seriously wondering his mental abilities. The z is like nothing else to drive, its like a tammed cheetah. Yet if you dont know what your doing the rear end will come around on you like a ****, and youll be sitting head first in a bush thinking o **** this was only a test drive. Then you look over and you see an alarm clock from all your dreaming.

His (mis)use of grammar and spelling is priceless. Another poor unfortunate victim of the government schools.
