Also do you guys know what the button next to the VDC does?

Next to the VDC is the TCS....atleast thats the button that is there on my '06 (TCS)
I am starting to believe that the hood hump is not exactly made to clear the new engine ,but just as a design queue from the original Z cars. I am actually thinking that the original hood from the 06' will fit the 07'.
Why do I say this? This is the same engine, yet notice the vented hood, and the vents go inward, not outward. The profile of this hood matches that of the 06'.

Kind of off topic but this was one of the comments posted on that site:
"Ugh. Still one of the ugliest, cheapest, most unreliable pieces of trash out there. Where's the update? I see nothing but the same old thing with a hump in the hood. Big deal.
Here in Michigan, you're an f'n loser if you drive a Nissan. They are more commonly found on the back of flatbeds than on the streets. Solstices and Sky's slaughter these things daily while still being bulletproof reliable and built like gold.
The only thing more trashy than the 350Z is the crappy mazda Miata, but those aren't really sportscars either.

Just talked to a sales rep. They got the 07 Z's a few days ago. The 5AT will have 306hp and 274lbs torque. And the carbon-silver is almost like the Silverstone. Im really really considering on trading my 04 Roadster for one this year. I just put on an exhaust and springs, so Im still wondering if I can swap on the 07 Z.

First of all I don't care for the hood design. It reminds too much of the mazda Rx-8's hood design. Besides that near ugly hood I am interested in the weight. Everyone knows that when the Z's got some age under their belt, industry wise, fat found its way onto them as well. Nissan has got to control the Z's diet. The 306hp sounds great and the dual intakes looks great as well but some of our cars could stand a diet. Weight is the enemy!!! I love the Z and everything about it but they need to do something if they can I hate to see the Z called overweight or too heavy. Hope history does not have to come back and haunt us.
