Honest Opinions needed(thanks N advance)
Hello everyone,
I am New to the forum and I have a couple of questions and concerns. Im thinking about purchasing a 350Z. My current vehicle is an 04 Sti making 350whp. All of my friends say Im making a mistake and I will not be able to abstract that kind of power out of a 350 without breaking the bank. Honestly, the 350 is sooo bad ***, and I really the aggressive stance they hold when you have a nice set of wheels on them.
Do you guy/girls think I will be dissapointed in the vehicle as far as power is concerned?
I would really like to turbo the car but after reading some of the threads on here I see that you really need to build the motor first.
Like I said b4 any feed back is greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Rick

Welcome to the forum Rick. You might wanna get this thread moved to the "General 350Z" section. You'll get a better response. PM a moderator and ask them to move this thread for you. The "feedback" section is geared more towards questions/concerns about the website itself. Happy surfin'!

Welcome Rick!
Quite honestly, yes, you will be disappointed in the power the Z makes coming from a 350whp STi. A turbo platform is just easier to make power on than a N/A platform. To get 350whp on a Z, you would definitely need at least a supercharger. This is going to run you at least $5k, including parts and labor. A single or twin turbo will run you even more. Even if you want to keep it N/A, extracting a lot of power out of the Z is going to be costly. You can spend $3k (N/A) and probably only get an additional 25whp or so.
Why not take the Z for a test drive and see if its power suits you?
PS: You also don't need to build the Z motor first before going F/I.
