Theory #2 The room is reserved for those who may want to drop in the 380Z's engine....
Theory #3 The old hood wouldn't fit.

It's already been proven that you are wrong.

EDIT- nevermind....its filtering out the link for some reason. its from 350z Tech if you want to search it. Weird..

I still really want to see some real pictures though from new Z's at dealerships!

The dual intake system just howls and sounds nice as hell. It totally changes how the whole car sounds in my opinion, much more reminescent of the bark that he old 300Z's.You have got to forgive nissan for the bulge in the hood, even if you dont like it, the power and torque more then makes up for it.

Just thought Id post a little review since I got to drive one today.
THANK YOU! please ANY more driving impressions? please understand that I have been waiting for some review for MONTHS! ANYTHING else?

Yeah I don't like that hood either. I think Nissan just wants a way to make the 07's look different from the 03' --> 06's, and also, maybe they are "inspired" by cars like the new Mustang and Dodge Charger that have those thick beefy hoods that stop abruptly in front ? Just my guess ...

okay, i know i probobly shouldnt ask this question because i'll probobly get ridiculed for the remainder of me being on this forum... but im gonna ask anyway.... .... is it possible to upgrade an 03-06 to a dual intake design... without it costing so much that it'd be unpractical... i dont know as mu ch about cars as some of you but thats why i joined this site (again)... something tells me there'd be way too much electrical, and mechanical work that ouwld have to be done like it'd make more sense for an engine swap...

and i kinda like the hood... its starting to grow on me...

there was a dual throttle bodies mod, and it has been done even from the likes of crawford but the expense would be amazing.

it's nice to hear compliment for 07 Z from those who actually drove 07 Z. it's much better for those comparison from the Mag.
