the intake manifold is bigger because of the dual throttle bodies. crank is a bit larger it also has a girrdle for the crank witch means its stronger. heads a diffrent. its longer deck and rod.

Ok, guys I would love to dyno a car but ITS A BRAND NEW CAR, if my sales manager found out a I took a brand new car to romp the **** out of it Id be dragging my tool box out to the road.

And whoever said that FL only has 2 2007Z's was a little wrong in that. Hell we have 5 at our dealership right now waiting for a new home. The base model san marino stick that I drove, 2 in carbon silver, one enthusiast, and the other a touring. A black one and a white one as well although Im not sure what trim they are.

We had them out here longer than that. I was looking at a Redline over at Tony Nissan a few weeks ago.

The hood is NOT just there for looks... the block is taller and the plenum itself is larger. The strutbar itself is a slightly different shape just to fit in there.

It's already been said... they still got '06's to push out... makes no sense to put out the '07 until the '06's are off the lots.

Yeah, but this year is different. I remember at the end of Sept. 04 the nissanusa.com web site had pricing for '05s. They are still showing '06 over there and it's January of '07 already. What's the big deal this year? It sounds like they are finally at the dealers though. Can't wait to see one in person just out of curiosity. First impression is that the hood is ugly. I'd like to see the new colors too. Probably IN dealers won't bother getting '07stock until after winter.

Hummmm I disagree. As far as i know there has never been a car company to sell out of all the vehicles they have manufactured in a specific year. If this is true then Nissan must have a few thousand 06 Z sitting around, and if that's the case then the info for the 07 should have never been released. So the waiting continues and so does the option of another car if nissan does not release them soon.

Cheers

Kevin

Good to know, might swing by and test that San Marino out myself.

Bleufiend, you know if Quan still works there? He sold me my 03 over a year ago.

Does the 6spd feel better in the 07? How are the shift gates and did they get rid of the grinding?

Default thousands of 06's left over?

I wish they did have that many left over. For what they would ultimately be reducing prices down, I would gladly take an 06 coupe to go with the ZR. The car has more power than is street usable already. Personally a mod here or there is plenty for me. Looking for the 07's to get in so I can get a cheap 06. At this point don't see 06's on lot though.

I was at my local dealership today and they haven't gotten any in yet. I saw them unloading a bunch of 07 Maximas and Altimas though...they look nice.

The 07 shifted the same as my 05, nice and smooth. And yes I believe that Quan still works up front. I dont venture much out of the cave(garage) as its known to go up front.

Hell I never have time to, I was up to my eyeballs today in a Titan taking out the entire friggin dash to replace the passenger airbag module because it has a short.

I have yet to see a pic that shows how the block/plenum/etc necessitates that bulge in the hood. My guess is that its there for nostalgia.
