WRX vs. C4 Corvette vs. turbo'ed Prelude
Just a little interesting (at least to me) incident happened late last night. I was riding in my girlfriend's turbocharged '00 Prelude SH on Hwy. 99 and we approached a red-light, where there were standing a slightly souped up WRX and a C4 Corvette. The Corvette looked to be in the early '90's, and looked used and beat-up (much like its driver, a rough-neck...hehe...no offense intended), but it still looked pretty tough and fast. Anyway, my gf asked me if she should go for it, and I said: "Duh!"
Then when the light turned green, loud roars filled the air, and all cars went for it. Seconds later, my gf left them in the dusts. When I looked back, I only saw those two cars' lights somewhat far away. Then when she hit about 120mph, I told her to get it down to the speed limit. We went at the speed limit for a while but those cars never passed us. They also stopped racing and were going at the speed limit, so I couldn't tell which one of them won. In stock trims, they both could do 1/4 mi in from low 14's to mid 14's, but I had no idea how souped up was the WRX, except with exhaust. It was pretty cool to see my girl race with me in it...hehe...the way her hand stroked that shift-stick back and forth...hehe ...At the track, her best time in the Lude was 12.6 in 1/4, so those two other cars had no chance.
I don't know about you guys, but there's nothing I like more than girls in souped up import cars...hehe ...At UW, my gf is in an all-girl racing group called Racing QT's (which means "cuties"). And most of them are pretty cute too. Most of them are Asian chics, and there are 2 white chics. They have some pretty nice cars, including a Supra TT, RX-7, Lex SC400, Ludes, Civics, Legend coupe, etc. Pretty damn cool! I don't have such a team. I wish I could join them. They said I had to be a cute chic....hehehe...
Anyway, just a little short story about racing with 2 cars I never had a chance to be in a race with.
On another subject, I just hope the Z will look as good as this:

I agree that there is just something hott about a girl that likes cars. I also love hearing stories about corvettes losing, especially when its to a 4.

Anyway, I advise ya not to turbocharge your Lude. Save your money for the Z or something. A '93 Lude is somewhat old (a decade old) to spend $3500+ on; well, unless you have much money to spend, then by all means, go for it. It'll be a rocket. But I'd advise you to save money for the Z. It'll be more worth it that way. Just my 2 cents.
