What are people getting rid of/trading in for their new Z?
I got you all beat for the greatest performance downgrade: the vehicle I sold to get the Z does 0-60 in 2.7 seconds, quarter mile in 10.20, top speed 178 mph. No kidding: it was a 99 Honda CBR1100XX "Blackbird" motorcycle. 163 hp in less than 500 lbs can do wonders, if you can keep the front wheel on the ground. It was kind of sad to see it go, but I wasn't riding very much any more and I really wanted the Z!
'99 Infiniti I30t probably goes to my 17 year old son (lucky bastard!), '92 Maxima SE already went to older son when I got the Infiniti, but he is probably going to get the opportunity to buy the Z from me at college graduation in 3 years, so he is ok with younger brother having the I30 (for now).
Already sold my 1994 Porsche 968. Actually, I sold the Porsche because I got good cash for it (more then I paid for it 3 years and 50,000km earlier) and not to make room for the Z. The Z was the winner when I sat down to think of a replacement.

Maybe you could do something inventive with the strut brace?
I feel a midwest aftermarket part coming...
I'm in the process of selling my white '92 Toyota MR2 Turbo. It has been a great car. But like everyone else here, the Z called to me. I will own another MR2 in my life. Just a heck of a lot of fun.
While I wait on the Z, I am driving my beater, an '89 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme International. I think the only thing I can win with that is longest name.

I'll have to dump my 93 escort with 90-something HP for my new Z. Has over 140,000 miles but still reliable...this car followed the 67 HP 1985 CRX I had for a year (over 200,000 miles). The combined value of both cars has to be less than $3k.
I'm curious...What's the highest horsepower car/vehicle that future Z car owners here have owned (also, highest HP vehicle driven, but neccesarily owned)?

Trading in my 2001 Pathfinder SE 4x4. Definitely gonna have to get a set of snow tires for the Z. Should be fun when the white stuff starts falling. But hey it's only 3 miles to work, 95% of that on a major highway, I think I'll be alright. If not I'll have to get an older used 4x4 for the bad weather. Not enough money coming in just yet at 22 to afford to keep the Pathy and the Z. I wish, 2 VQ35DEs would be nice. At least the Pathy is paid off, and I've got a $23,200 trade in from the dealer in writing. It'd be the insurance that would kill me to keep both. 22, Metro NY, even with a clean driving record, insurance sucks.
Since we had a baby 4 year ago, had to sell my hot wheels, get in a new family car for the wife, and drive a 91 3 cylinder Subaru Justy Gl ECVT. Its got a Continuously variable tranny. its neat, but its the butt ugliest thing out there. Street sweepers pass me on uphills.
