Default Test drove the 07

First off let me say that I LIKE THE HOOD. Gives the car more attitude in my opinion. All you hood knockers gotta see it in person.

Second off the dip stick is a huge improvement. Right in front and shorter and straight..Man it's really cool.

Thirdly the dual intake sound is awesome.

Blue tooth is a major plus too.

I didn't take the opportunity to rev it up past 4 grand. Up to that point it was smoooth. I cam imagine that the improvements take place in the higher rpm band.

The center console box is now another cup holder, but the holders can be removed. The box seems deeper too.

The oversize warning on the sun shades have been downsized.

Before driving the 07 I stopped by the Porsche dealer.

I test drove an 03 Carrera with an cam kit (xtra 30 hp, to 350 ) The car screamed. They wanted $55,000 with 47,000 miles.

Then I drove and 07 Cayman with the 2.7 4 cyl. 245 hp.
Nice car not as fast as the Carrera though 400 lbs lighter.

Then I drove the Z

It would cost me another $20,000 to get either Porsche.

NOT WORTH THE MONEY. Unless you gotta have that PORSCHE emblem on the steering wheel.

In all I think that the 07 Grand Touring is a nice improvement from the 06 model. And only $250 more on the invoice.

I can't wait for Feb 2.

Happy to hear you're on you way to your next Z. I'm looking to close my first Z in about a month. Any ideas on invoice pricing for the Touring and the Grand Touring?

MSRP is supposed to be $250 more for coupes and $500 more for roadsters. Use edmunds.com to see the 06 invoice prices, and add 250 - 500 to that for a good ballpark figure of what the invoice should be.
