Hey Space Ace, I also ordered from South County Nissan in Gilroy. They didn't contact me, but when I called they told me the tracking number and that it should come in "late August or early September" but suggested that September was most likely.

When you say you waited too long, does that mean you missed the preorder deadline and are in the first batch of dealer orders?

Default Countdown

I would not expect deliveries to begin before mid September or later. I called NNA last week and they said delivery has been pushed forward a month for a production delay. It looks like any August delivery is out of the question. If you see a Z on the road in August , I would expect it to be a pre-production model like the car mags have been reporting on in their tests.

Boomer--better right than recalled.

Hey z350z. Um yeah James didn't call me either. I had to call as usual. It's getting a little old to be honest. When I talked to him oh about a week ago he told me Sept for the first 4 and then October for mine. I was undecided as to if I was going to pre-order since I was looking for a place to buy down here in SJ. Once I settled on a place I went to make the order. Unfortunatly, it was a Tuesday and it was James' day off so I waited till Wed to talk with him since I had been working with him. Needless to say the last of the 4 they were allocated was sold on that Tuesday . So, I looked around and then call back a few weeks later and the next day they called me back with one more on allocation to them. Don't know how and don't really care. So I ordered it. This was at the end of April. For some reason I guess it wasn't early enough to go in with the first four.

Oh well still hopeful though. It would be nice to have it for a little while during the summer.

Angry dealer reply

This was my salesman reply to my asking when they expect the
first shipment.

Dude where's your car? You would have been in the first shipment and in fact
you were until we changed the order. I thought you would still be in there but
for some reason they bumped you to the next shipment. Our first Z's are going
to be here Sept 30. Nissan gave us a window of plus or minus 10 days. For some
reason production was pushed back one month so nobody is getting theirs in
August like we thought early in the year. I would say the first Z you will see
on the road will be in early Oct. I will take care of you with a free tank of
gas. We would have a better chance of changing your birthday than getting a Z
here before your B-day. I will keep you posted. You didn't get another dose of
Z from Nissan lately?
