Nissan Countdown Clock
On the Nissandriven website there is that little countdown clock saying how long until the car is released. According to that clock, the car will be released on 8/19/02. Does this mean when they will actually start having the TV commercials etc, or maybe, that someone somewhere will get at least one Z, just so they don't get egg on their face for not meeting their own schedule???
Personally, it doesn't matter when it comes out as I missed the pre-order period and probably won't get mine until Nov - Jan.
Anyway, just a thought.

I'm too realistic to think my car will arrive on the 19th...the day after my birthday and the first day of a two week hiatus......Naaaaaaa...that kind of good sh** never happens to me

Go to the Nissandroven.com website and enter the area for the 350z (where is says falsh demo required), then up in the top right hand corner of page is little timer that is contiuously running down, even to the second. I know the Japanese are pretty meticulous, but come on....

San Diego actually, for the National Dealer Meeting.
The Z's to be used for the meeting are arriving next week.
How many is the question.
How many will not be used is also the question.
The "R" vehicles might be in this shipment. Together with Murano's.

Pat, LA huh? Wait a minute. I am a huge Philadelphia Eagles fan and they played (an sadly lost to) the Rams in the NFC title game last year. The Rams USED to be from LA!!! MAN, that IS scarey!

Hey Barry, Haven't heard yet if the 1st shipment is end of Aug., or end of Sept. Hopefully know soon. I put in the request for the side airbags, but really won't know until we receive the invoice, or the car. I'm not a lot of help. Sorry... I will let you know a.s.a. i know. Stay well, Ed

dc350 -- just curious, how did you get this info? Are you a dealer?
He's talking about the "tracking" number we have all been going ga ga over the last couple of weeks. Some start with "R" and are supposedly the first ones to arrive (Aug?). Some start with "S" like mine and are supposed to arrive in Sept. Finally we've heard of "T"'s that are for Oct.

Does anyone know where in San Diego this dealer meeting is being held? Any chance I might be able to get a look at one of the Zs? Still haven't seen one in person and it's killing me!!

1st deliveries....
Last week I recieved word from my dealer in Gilroy, CA. They recieved notification of their orders from the factory. What he told me was the first set of early preorders were being manafuactured in July and will not be delievered until mid September. The second shippment (mine since I waited too long) will be here in October. He even went as far as to give me the factory order number for my tracking.
August 1st is the National Dealer Launch meeting. This is when we can expect the 350Z campane to really start up. I wouldn't expect too maybe if any at all to recieve their Z in August. It would be nice though!
