it's not a fake check.. what happens is the person sending you the money was sold something that he/she will never get, more than likely merchandise on Ebay... they send you the check thinking you are the person that sold the goods to them.. you cash it, then send the difference to the guy trying to scam you (and the so called buyer)... this way, it's harder to track the scammer... the only legal connection they have is you and the dumbass that sent you the check..

You send the scammer the cash, he gets it.. makes out like a champ. Pretty soon the “dumbass” starts complaining about not getting their goods.. they trace the check.. it comes back to you cause you cashed it. Two guys show up at your door looking like the "Men in Black" flashing badges and they take you back to the office for “questions” and a bunch of midgets sodomize you until you tell them the truth, so when you never confess because you didn’t do anything to begin with... they then arrest you for indecent exposure and sex crimes with midgets and you have to register as a sex offender.. all while the scammer is sittin on the beach with his laptop sippin on mojito's making his next kill..

If anything… you can keep the hood… because nobody is ever gonna come pick it up.

What I would do.. is go for it. Get the check. Then turn around and try to contact the person who sent it to you and let them know what’s going on. This way they can at least be aware and the scammer cannot continue milking their funds.

Or you can just tell the guy to fuq off…

This will end up costing you at least $2330 of your hard-earned dollars.

Why dont you just deposit the check and hold on to it for about a month then see what happens. dont wire any money back in the meantime
