New 2003 Z sales numbers
Almost there.
Aug: 1239 => total: 1239
Sept: 2407 => total: 3646
Oct: 2737 => total: 6383
Nov: 3755 => total: 10,138
Dec: 3115 => total:13,253
Jan: 3572 => total: 16,825
Feb: 2724 => total: 19,549
Mar: 3440 => total: 22,989
4 months and 7011 to go.

That's interesting...
... because I vbought my CS Enthusiast on March 15th, 2003. The tag on the door sales made in February of 2003 and my VIN # is something like 112984. How come mine is only # 12984 , but made in Feb. of '03? When you are showing 20,000 units at that point?

I imagine because that likely represents sales to the dealer. Which is basically the number of orders the dealer has placed with Nissan. It does make the production of the vehicles go any faster nor the delivery.
Given the dealers have a limited number of orders per month so dealers like courtesy have already sold their entire years allocation of the vehicle. Some folks will be waiting awhile yet to receive theirs I imagine
It also means that there is no guarentee that all those vehicles are actually sold to a person. A good number of them are likely dealer purchased based upon projected sales at their dealership.

Thats because there is either a 1 or 0 in front of the VIN and that represents side airbags or not. Someone has the identical VIN as you, but with a 0 rather then the 1 in front.
