Lightbulb 350Z online group racing in Auto Modellista

There is a thread about Auto Modellista, a new video game for the PS2, in the Off Topic forum, but since the game gives you the ability to race stock or heavily modified 350Z cars (as well as 240Zs and Z32 300ZXs) against each other online, I thought it would be cool to get a group together who would like to race online.

I have the network adapter but haven't quite hooked it up yet. I'm planning on doing it either today or tomorrow.

Would anyone be interested?

Check out this thread for info about the game...

Definitely up for a bit of that... have to buy the game first though, but keep me in the loop.

I'm already online with the PS2, so looking forward to an online racing game.

Yes. I'd definitely be in for this if the game was actually good.

I know my 350 doesn't control anything like the way they are depicted in this game. Slides around way too much. Does have a unique look to it though. Hopefully Gran Turismo 4 will get it right.

I'm sure Gran Turismo 4 will get it right.

I agree that this is not even close to Gran Turismo. All of the cars in this one slide way too much, but it's the only game where I can race either a 350Z or 240Z with other people who are not physically located in my house, so I'm having fun with it. This is not a sim like the Gran Turismo series, it is more arcade. I prefer Gran Turismo, too.

There is no fee, which is great.

The network adapter has inputs for both ethernet DSL/Cable and regular phone line, but from what I've heard the US version requires ethernet. Funny thing is the ethernet input was covered by a sticker on mine. I removed it and am now hooked up.
