+1 on the srt4... I live at a place with 3000ft DA regularly and I still pull them easily... not sure what this nonsense is about them being faster...
+1 also on this thread being ridiculous... anyone who is confused about why the 350z isn't considered a super car obviously has NO CLUE what a supercar even is...

I don't know about all of you, but to me the Z LOOKS like a supercar. I mean granted it's not but even after 5 yrs, Z's still get a lot of looks and people who aren't enthusiasts still wonder what kinda car it is. Maybe the front is a little conservative, but all in all to a lot of people it looks like a supercar. Slap on a turbo and body kit and you're good!

However, the NSX still consider a japanese supercar from then 'till now.

Not to start a vs. thread here but stock for stock the srt-4 should beat the Z in the 1/4 mile with equal drivers. Better hp to weight ratio and similar gearing. Granted it is fwd but by the end of the 1/4 it should pull ahead.
Btw the Z is not a supercar because it doesn't have the performance, looks, engineering, or quality of a supercar. Simple as that. It is a great bottom-mid end sports car.

A "Supercar" must have a pricetag in the top 5 percentile and Performance in the top 5 Percentile. It must also be a limited production run, making it exclusive to own.
= More Expensive and Higher Performance than 95% of the cars on the market and of a limited run.
That makes cars like the Viper, 911, Ford GT and Z06, "Borderline" Anything below those cares are not.
