This is bad for everyone. My family has cats and I love them.

I'd hate to hit animals for many reasons.

It just sucks they can't develop an eye for traffic after all these years!

Honestly man, If this were my cat and you were talking like you did about it, we'd be fighting and it definitely would not be good for you. I am sorry this thread is just wrong man!!!!! WTF how would you feel if this were your child's pet, or if you had a smaller dog that got out???

At first I was a little upset that I just killed an animal. Then when I pulled over and say my front end, I was ready to turn around and go find that cat so I could kill it with my bare hands!

But yes, it was a cat that did this! Here's to $1,200 worth of repairs! I soooo hate cats!

On the bright side, the car is repaired, looks great, and to top it off, I don't have those friggin' holes drilled for a front license plate. I'd rather get pulled over...

hate to say it, but a dog would have done a lot more damage than that. sorry to see your Z got messed up

Maybe I would keep a better eye on my animal and not let it roam free on the f'en highway! There were no tags on the cat, and if there were, I would have called them and apologized. If it were my kid's pet and it did this, and the people contacted me, I'm sure it would be to have me pay for the damages. They're liable for their pets, not me. I am no way happy that I killed the cat, but grow up. This thread isn't about killing cats...it's called my350z.com...not mystraycat.com. I'm not condoning cat killing, so get a grip.

maybe you'll stop speeding now. you just killed an innocent creature, regardless of what it was, cat, dog, deer, etc...

I'm sure you've never had your Z above the speed limit! For starters, there are absolutely no lights on the road, so the cat wasn't seen until he ran right out in front of me. In a second it went from clear road to cat three feet in front of car.

So, for the last time, I'm not proud of hitting the cat. So get over the lectures...I posted the pics to just show the damage...not to have every PETA member out there start picketing the web-site.

I may be at fault for breaking the speed limit, but I'm not at fault for hitting the animal. If it was someones cat, they're at fault and can actually be held liable for any damages.

But of course I thought that...if I hadn't stopped and got gas...if I had been going 65...if I had decided to take a later flight. Hey hind-sight is 20/20...

Not entirely going to solve the problem. I had a Ford Thunderbird once; I ran over a cat with the front and rear tires. So this cat was running across the street and I tried to avoid him but couldn't. I was doing the speed limit (about 45mph), it was dark, I was awake.

If you think about it, when a cat runs it can easily do around 25 miles an hour. So imagine out of the corner of my eye I see something small and low running towards me from the left. Evasive maneuvers? Ah, I turned the wheel to the right but there are cars parked along the street and a curb. Hardly much time to react and, UNFORTUNATELY, I hit him.

The time in which it all occurred was faster than it takes to read this sentence. I ain't kiddin'.

Christian88, you did what you could and you did nothing wrong...

LOL @ mystraycat.com......i would never think a cat could do that much damage. you should get a new bumper and call it a day.
