I live in northern Maine. I drive a '07 Audi A4 in the winter months and my 350Z in the summer.

I purchased the 350Z at the end of December '11 and the A4 near the end of February '12. Wouldn't have bought the Audi so soon but I totaled my '01 Pontiac Grand Am by hitting a deer at 75mph on the I-95.

Example. American family insurance. Mom got rear ended she started going to physical therapy and her car fixed. They sent her a check for 20$. Later found out that they tried writing off other claims as following. In Minnesota you are entitled up to 20,000$, they will try and go to claim holders residence of minorities or impoverished areas knowing the ppl don't know any better and will try and get them to accept a check for 1500. They think it's awesome cuz it's money and once that check is cashed your screwed. My mom still has her check and is going to court. Seriously, 20 bucks...wtf. Other companies also have similar qualities. I think the worse 3 are American family gieko, and progressive maybe it was allstate. DO YOUR RESEARCH I was afraid to get into an accident for months now I'm fearless

Those things are pretty damn rad, my buddy I grew up with has one. Except his now has 200xxx+ miles, so it's starting to get a little worn haha.

My Z is my daily, roll cage and all. Since I'm saving for a house right now I don't really want to spend money on another car, at least until I sell my S13 that I got for dirt cheap in Cali. After I sell it I might grab my buddies moms 94 Suburban that's in good shape so I'll also be able to have a tow car.

 

Z is my beater as well but I still have trouble driving it in the winter as it's not really practical. So is there such thing as a 2nd tier beater to replace the Z?

03 Ford Focus ZX3 2.3L, GT28r turbo, Quaife, Cosworth exhaust +++ ... bought the Z to replace it. I'm parting it out/selling it stock.

 

I would hate to have to park the Z outside.... I've had my windows mashed in as well, and my car was sitting in my driveway (nothing stolen as well). Now I stick to the garage and the garage only.

But I daily drive the Tahoe and use the Z on weekends or anytime I feel like driving manual

 

Same here. School is only 3 miles away. The kids at my school are way more chill though, they actually respect me and my car.

too fuuny ... i bought my 03superblack-Z in 03, and the weekend forecast called for rain. hurried out and got a 93 sentra se-r for my beater then got an s13 240 hatch then an s14 240 coupe then a hayabusa, then an xterra, now finally my beater is 04 G35 obsidian black 6mt sedan with too much done to it to call it a beater (it stays outside... so its a beater).

maybe the Z should've come with a special "add-a-beater" package.lol

I ain't buying no cars to just stored away...life's too short, gotta enjoy and drive as much as I can. Even if it's a Viper, Corvette, or Lambo, I'm making it my DD if there's no snow.
