took my car out for the first time today in long island/queens weather . I had to go to class. I parked by the meter, car is stuck, with no way of getting out. I have to have a flatbed later, b/c the weather wont stop, and i cant leave my car overnight.

I've had my 2006.5 Nissan 350Z for approximately three weeks now...I live in Bergen County, NJ....And yes, I dusted the Z off and tried to go on Route 80 this morning in the snow! DUMB DUMB DUMB, I got stuck just 2 minutes from my home and tried to manuver out...I was inches away from the concrete guardrail...tried to back up and still stuck! I got towed back home and was glad I did not sell my 1996 stratus (even though I parted it out last week) The strat got me to work with out getting stuck....My Z see's no snow!!! I'm going to find a car cover for the Z....BTW, it's cheaper to drive the stratus and pay $400 additional insurance per year than to buy snow tires (in my case)...

so far i've had no trouble with the snow in my z. i have yet to get stuck or anything like that and if any of you know whats been going on in the st louis mo area then you know the weather hasn't been the best. it was pretty funny cause this morning a guy that lives by me with an sti couldn't get out of his parking spot and i was out of mine and on my way in no time.

This is probably redundant... but for anyone who's considering driving the Z in ANY amount of snow with summer tires... don't do it! It is a recipe for disaster, and many many people have gotten stuck in less than an inch on relatively level ground.

Running snows just on the rear is also not recommended. It will provide better grip during takeoff compared to the summer tires, but once you're rolling you have huge potential to lose the front end. I did this once with FWD running snows on the front only, and almost bought the farm.

I had one incident on the ice, the Z did a 180, and ended with the passenger side in a snow bank. I have not driven in the show since.

Some members have mentioned that the 350Z is drivable in snow. I agree with the term drivable. Its drivable until you get into trouble. I have discovered that the car is next to impossible to recover from oversteer in snow.

+1. Several people suggested I just get rears when they heard about the price. Thats good. So now I can accelerate, but if I have to turn the front end is just going to slide and I am either A) going to crash B) get stuck. If you are getting snows, you need tires all around on a 350Z, no exceptions.

Was at the gym this morning around 5:30 or so and I was watching Fox News on one of the TV’s in front of the treadmill. AND to my surprise I see a 350Z sitting in the middle of a blizzard with its caution lights on in the middle of the road . I believe it was some where in upstate NY, all I could make out was stock rims and it was black probably a 03-05. If it was some one on hear please get it to a safe place and park it. The news was saying there is like 5 feet already and they are expecting more. Who the hell would even attempt to drive in that?? Just dont get it
