Default Question on '07 350Z

Hey guys,
I'm most likely gonna be purchasing an '07 350Z in the next few weeks. I currently own an '04 Tiburon GT that has been my pride and joy, (some of you may dislike Hyundai but I'm not here to start a flame war) but I feel it's time to move on to something rear-wheel drive and with a bit more power. It's also a present to myself for finally finishing college. Anyways, I've been looking into the '07s and found out they have a new engine with a dual air intake system. The dealership I test drove one at also said that a true dual-exhaust is stock as well. Now to be honest, I know nothing about modding a Z. I have no friends who own one, but I've always liked them. I've done a few things to my Tib (intake, headers, exhaust, underdrive pulley and fuel tuner) and I believe that no car should remain stock. I will most likely start with an intake on the Z, but since it has a new dual air intake, how would a CAI work? Would it need two of them? Are there any aftermarket performance parts already available for the Z? I kinda searched around but dound nothing as of yet. Please share some of your knowledge and don't flame this noob too much.

I just purchased a 07 after having a 03 Z and I LOVE the difference. the 07 is so much more compared to the 03. You will love it.

"true dual-exhaust is stock as well" - It is not a true dual-exhaust, it is a larger diameter exhaust though.

there are no aftermarket mods for the 07 Z engine *YET*. The first thing will probbaly be Dual Popchargers (intake). But it will be a few months, but the 07 has so much more power compared to even a modded 03.

Thanks for the info. I test drove the '07 base coupe and loved it. I'll be going with an Enthusiast package though - I want the lsd. I hope the dual popchargers will be within reasonable price when they come out.

May I suggest you read the 66+ pages of the Official 2007 Z Discussion Thread that is listed at the top of this page.
And as for the mod's they will be a while and the true duel exhaust is not a real true duel exhaust (but some will argue this point) Bu I am hoping the true duel exhaust will be an aftermarket accessory.

Cheers

Kevin
