Bird droppings
There it was a nasty sh*t on my hood. I know it didnt sit there for more then several hrs. I spray it with hot water and wipe it off. Next day I give the Z a full wash and wax. Well I had a good coat of wax before. That same night I look under the light where the sh*t was. I could see the shape of the crap still there! I just got more wax and did a little hand buffing. Damn the bird crap is toxic!

Another member on this site recommended purchasing a travel pack of Speed Shine Wipes from Griotts Garage (www.griotsgarage.com). For $9.95 you get a travel pack and a soft cotton polishing cloth. They're kind of like wet-wipes except they contain a quick detailing finish. The web site is sometimes a little hard to navigate so for reference, the product number is 11172.
I had occasion to use them for the first time this week and I was really glad to have them in the car to clean up bird S**t I found on the hood at lunch time.
