ahhhh.. I don't like when Z owners argue about which year Z is faster..
Like if you guys gonna keep it as a stock form..
I am really careless if VQ35DE, Rev-up, HR is faster or not. I just drive my Z and that is what I'm proud of.

Flame suit on
thats real funny becasue i dyno'd higher then most 287s period at my dyno day. And when i was in nyc when i had my 287 a 35 anniv dynod more then me hp wise aswell my dyno with my current revup stock is 251 std. On my 287 it was 234 std. BIg difference. Dyno also shows that beyond 100+ the revup pulls harder aswell. Cant wait to see the HR lol. Best of both worlds peak tq and hp.lmao. I am looking for a stock 287 on a top end run to vid in orlando before i start modding. And a HR so everyone can see the difference from a roll and from a dig. With good drivers no misshifts. I believe the end result assuming would be

287--------------->
REvup------------------>topend
HR--------------------------->topend plus
I mean its a assumption but , this is my idea of the outcome top end wise lol. Cant wait for the day to test out the theory lol

well who races from a roll? who cares about how hard ur car pulls at 135mph most races are done from a dig. when i race at the drag strip its all done from a dig and i usually when i race another z it comes down to who launches better which is usually me cause of my DRs

half the vids on street fire , you tube , are mostly done from rolls where you been brotha. lol Supra vids Z vids , hell i even did a google search and mostly all the results from street races are done from rolls lmao. I mean the Z isnt a drag car and gearing is better suited for rolls from the get go. I mean nothing against draging i love the strip, and more power toyou with that , but i prefer to use my Z for roll races. I love road racing so thus i love highway runs. Which im shocked you would ask who races from rolls lmao.

well david here in L.A. we dont have the luxury of a drag strip at sea level. Well we do but theyre far and few between. The strip i go to is almost 3000 feet above sea level so i dont have any impressive record breaking times like u

Agreed but one slight correction.

287-----> low end tq
Rev-up-----> top end
HR--------------> low end tq plus good top end

the inevetable 3.7 coming next year>>>>>>> 287, Rev-up, and vq35hr lol.

In the end we all have Zs. They are nice cars and are really not that fast. Arguing about having a stock 07 that is maybe 0.3 seconds faster than the previous years will not make anyones ***** bigger.

Just enjoy modifying and driving your damn Z.

Bull ****. Ive got a 06 STI and a 07 Z and the 06 STI will take the 07 Z from a dig and from a roll. Granted I cant test the STI now that its in the low 12's, but it raped the 03 from a dig and from a roll. The 04 STi is 'technically' supposed to be faster than the 06STI, but there about the same. I know stock though there is no way my 07 or 03 would of owned my STI stock.

Thanks for the reply. 3,000 feet is a serious disadvantage.

Here we go again.. My GF has an 04 STi w/TB, Intake, Exedy STG1 clutch, and cobb accessPORT tuned to 300AWHP and 318TQ.. On the quarter it's good for 12.1 @ 114.. BTW, thats with ~~HER~~ driving...

When it was stock, my STOCK 06 Z would walk it from 75 to 130..

NOw with her mods and the same race, she has me by 2 cars at 130...

I've spanked an 06 STI with similar mods with her 04...

BOTTOM LINE.. AN EVO OR STI HAS TO BE MODDED TO WALK A Z ON THE TOP END.. END OF DISCUSSION WITH THAT BS.. IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE ME, LETS RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

a sti from a roll with similar HP doesnt make sense to perform better from a roll. ITs pretty common knowledge that we can be on par or surpass a sti and evo STOCK HENCE STOCK from a roll. I mean where very close to there numbers and where NA. Now from a dig, well thats murder.

the 04 is also 'technically' lighter. It also has higher stock WHP as mentioned about. Although I love my 06 and I had raced numerous stock 04-05 sti's and stayed neck and neck nobody pulling on anybody. Its a drivers race, but by #'s alone, the 04 should 'fastest' of the batch.
