Question Are the New 2007 Z's faster than 2006??????????

Now that the 2007 has been out for a little while, does anyone know if it is faster than the 2006 and if so, how much faster? Thinking of a Z some time this year and curious about the comparison.

I have not seen the dyno's. They would have to be done on the same dyno the same day for it to be a good comparison, has that been done?

The problem you'll have with this scenario, just as the dyno's, is that the driver will make every difference in this case. You still cannot perfectly duplicate results this way. The controlled condition dyno's will measure power the best. Based on weight and HP, and gears and transmission, you can estimate with the same matched calculations what each car would do under perfect cirumstances, with VERY LITTLE margin of error.

Otherwise - it's either a racers or dyno's edge.

The abilities of the drivers are a given. It should be understood that in any race the driver makes the biggest difference. Driver input is irrelevant in a fair comparison, because it's assumed the cars are being pushed to their maximum capabilities.

To make this simple, yes the 2007's are faster. How much faster exactly? Who knows?

the 07s have that extra 6hp but the weight is also a few hundred pounds heavier then the 06, so i wouldnt bet on it beeing much faster, i've test driven the 07 enthu. and compared to my 06 it sounds meaner due to the dual intake, but no noticeable difference, if anything my 06 is quicker....

and i also forgot to add, even with the dual intakes, it really doesnt pull much more air then the 06 because of the tubing diameter.. so if u ask me.. it is just gonna cost more for dual pop chargers or intakes to pull the same if not less then the single intake on the 06s

https://my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=245890 Does not look like 6hp ...oh by the way the 06's "300hp" was under the old SAE testing rules the "306" of the new Z's is under the new tougher standards.

I will wait to drive one or race one on the strip to make up my mind as to how much faster it will be..
