***Need Some Help: 350Z or S2000???***
Alright so hears what I gotta say; my best friends Dad has an S2000, black 06 with intake headers hondata and re gearded that things pretty damn fast and super fun (his dad let us take it out today).... It handles great but I mean probably not any better then the Z.
But the only problem is what everyone else says is the no torque issue... the only way to know your going fast is watching the speedometer otherwise theres really no kick excpet obviously in first gear... But a very fun car especially with the top down
The Z... well I don't need to say anything I mean we all do own Z's you know....
But it's your choise just depends if you want something a little more practical (if you can even call the Z practical)

Oh, I do. Just not a fan of expensive 3600 lb Bangle-designed toyota look-alikes. I mean, I think the straight-line potential is great, but WAY too heavy for me.

Spoken like a true individual who's never been in either car.

And I don't care what you have to say to me about this because I own both cars and you own let's see.....none!! So if I say the S2k rides like a clown car that's still more real life input you'll ever have...now go back to your RSX forum and play...I can't stand people who repeat regurgitated or...oh my best friend has so and so car testimonials.

S2000 bends valves easily!! The Lsd is super weak in 2000 & 2001 models. There is no space whatsoever in the S2K, at least you can recline the seat a little bit in a Z. The S2K has no torque, turbo or s/c kits and a good tune you will be lucky to get over 220 lb/ft of torque. The S2K can respond to a few mods better than a Z and since it's pretty light it's still quick and fun to drive.
(my roomate has a 2002 w/17,000 miles)
Final comparison Z = instant gratification when you press the gas, S2K = beat the **** out of it in every single gear to extract any useable power. This is a decision for the driver to make. +1,000,000 drive both because to each his own. Just don't get an RSX

In stock form, both cars get you from point A to point B in about the same time. You just have to decide how you want to get there. Drive both and get 1 of them, both of them, or non of them. Reading what everybody and myself have to say is worthless compared to test drives on your own.

My Z looks like a tank right next to his s2k...also the interior is hellava lot
smaller on the s2k.

I test drove an s2k last night and I didn't like it too much. The interior is very small the steering wheel doesn't adjust the seat don't move far back at all. I immediately noticed the lack of torque. The only things I liked about the s2k is how it carved through turns and it looks really nice with the top down. I'll admit it's alot more of a raw sports car but the Z has more ***** to back it up.

It might lack torque but it makes up for that in being a lot lighter than the Z
Plus if you auto-x one you will easily out perform a Z from what I've seen so far.
