Default New car Help!

ok guys i need some serious help here.

Yesterday i happend to be at nissan picking up a couple clamps for the rear bumper for the Z.

I currently have a 2003 Grand touring model with 40k miles on it.

I got a incredible offer on a 2006 enthusiast model for less than i originally paid for mine.

the only thing im losing switching to the new car is a leather interior and the lame viscous lsd.

should i take the new car and trade in my 03?

It would be touring.

The touring has leather,

The track has brembo's.

GT = Leather + Bremos = Touring + Track

You have a Touring. Enthusiast DOES have the VLSD; only model that does not is Base. You'll just lose the leather/heated seats and crappy Bose system. As for what to do, depends on the deal you get, I guess and if it's what you want.

VDC is not related to VLSD.

So you have an 03 touring and wondering if you should trade it for an 06 base?

Did they give you an offer on your 03? You may actually sit down and find that you are going to pay more for the 06 than you think if you are in a negative equity position (if you're financing). If it's all cash, then I guess it really comes down to whether or not you think it's worth paying the difference between what they'll give you for the 03 and the price of the new 06...

They also got you on being a service customer. Sometimes that can be a worthwhile up for a car salesman. What was the line? "Well while you're in here for the service department, maybe you'd like to come check out the newer model Z"?

Then do you owe more than what they were willing to give you for the trade?

If you owe less, then it's really only a matter of whether or not you want to extend your term. You might also lower your payments if the 06 is less than what you originally paid.

If you owe more than what they are giving you for the trade, then they may have to increase the value of the car to fit in paying the balance that you owe. That may increase your payments, it may stay the same. Don't know how far they went with you in the process.

I guess what you need to decide is it worth the extra money to get a newer car with less options? I'd probably say yes if the numbers work. I was actually looking for an Enthusiast model to begin with, but landed on a Touring just cause it was the quickest thing available in white, and it comes with the VLSD which I really needed to have

Facts (I think): You have an 03 Touring and want to swap for a new 06 Enthusiast. The Enthusiast has LSD & TCS (one step below VDC).

If your happy with the $$$, then, yes, I would do it. Enthusiast has slightly fewer features and none of the missing features relate to fundamental operation of the car.

I would. I had an 03 Touring with 35k on it. I wrecked it and picked up an 06 Enth. and i have the same payments as my old. Yeah, I kinda miss the leather and power seats but heck, the 06 is just put together better than the 03s IMO. Do eet!
