Good. Now the minus... I'm sure that you're an aszhole, and I slept with a family relative or loved one of yours, and I have the "Canadian" virus.

I am speaking specifically about import tariffs. Passenger vehicles imported from Japan into the United States pay an import tariff of 2.5 percent. The tariff is paid by Nissan to the United States Treasury. It is included in the MSRP.

You are referring to a country tax such as ad valorem . That tax is paid by the buyer in addition to the vehicle price.

If the Z is about 50k in germany, how much is an M3??

No wonder my euro relatives ignore reliability and refrain from buying any Japanese cars.

Just looked it up it's 56,900 Euro = 74,764.9 US Dollar

It's actually cheaper to buy a M3 here

Starting Price in US is $48,900

The price of a German made vehicle in Germany is more realistic than a vehicle from Japan. Germany is known to tariff vehicles made outside Germany to protect local auto manufacturing.

You might recall the argument about the Pathfinder several years ago. The vehicle was classified as a truck with a 25 percent import tariff. Later is was changed to a passenger vehicle, and the tariff was changed to 2.5 percent.

You also have to consider the cost of even obtaining a license to drive in foreign countries. When I lived in GE I was told that most of the older/younger locals rode bikes because a license cost nearly 2,000 DM

I'm at work and somehow couldn't access Brazil's Nissan website. I'll add it later when I get home.

I had no idea it was that much more expensive in Canada. What gives? It isn't like there is a domestic auto industry to protect.

Gas is a biatch in Europe right? So I guess if you can afford to pay for gas, you can afford to pay tons of money for cars.

I know... I can drive half an hour across the border and find cars that are way cheaper.

BUT we have our own little socialist safety add-ons that the manufacturers must provide, since your cars are apparently not safe enough for us. For example, we can't get EVO's because the bumper is too high, and we were delayed the lotus elise (and at extra cost) because the lights fell out after a collision.

So, we can't bring vehicles up without modifying them ourselves at enormous cost. THANK YOU CANADA!!!

Damn that's even worse than €57,450 they're advertising on the Nissan Ireland website. I bet you rarely see another Z in your Country let alone area.

http://www.nissan.ie/vehicles/passenger/350z/price.asp

I have a irish friend that's coming back to the US and he said his father got a porsche boxster over an Z because it was cheaper .

To add insult to injury I hear the wait to have a major surgery or cancer treatment takes several months.

A lot of Canadiens with cancer die because they have to wait to so long to get treated. The ones that don't want to wait cross the border and go to the US Hospitals.

Don't get me started on the healthcare!!! If your government ever tells you they're moving to a Canadian style of healthcare, don't let them!!!
