Default 07 base or 06 enthu?

both are the same color, both manual. the base is around $28k and the enthu around $30k. i really like the LSD, auto dimming rearview, and steering wheel controls in the enthu, but i can live without them if the new upgrades to the 07 are really worth it... and it seems like they are. i don't want to shell out the extra $$ for the enthu model of the 07 (i can't even find one in the color i want anyway).

what do you guys think?

07. There shouldn't be a debate about this. I'm already having engine envy at the 07s.

i think if i get the 07... i'm going to have to order an aftermarket LSD at the least.

what is a good aftermarket LSD and how much do they run?

how crucial is traction control?

is not having auto dimming rear views annoying?

i have an M3 currently and i love the wheel controls, but i'm sure i can live without them and cruise control.

Unless you track your car, the LSD will more than likely go unnoticed....

Shouldn't be a big deal however you will have just one wheel spinning for a sec or two. Its all good as long as the crowd around you is on the good side...

No seriously, I doubt it would be an issue

I'd go for the 06 Enthusiast; lots of goodies for few extra bucks.

New engine ain't that different, imo.

I'd get an 07 enthusiast as well or make them come down quite a bit on the 06 seeing the day it goes off the lot its a year old. Anyway make them come down a lot on the 06. The traction control is enough reason by itself to get an enthusiast. Sleepy and not paying attention can leave the base in the ditch.

I would recommend getting at least the Enthusiast trim for 2006 or 2007 models. $30k for a 2006 enthusiast in February 2007 is absurd considering I bought my 2006 enthusiast in February 2006 for $28.3k. At that time it was the latest, greatest model year Z and now there is a new one to choose from. Put on your negotiating hat and walk back down there to work on that 2006 price, or tell him to have a nice day.

I think I'm going to go with the 07... I just listened to the sound clip on the vq35hr.com website and fell in love. I can get aftermarket LSD, and good drivers don't need traction control. Or wheel mounted controls, lol.

if it snows in ur area at all, or u get patches of ice, id get something with traction control. Of course when u least suspect it ur car will slip and everyone knows that z's love to spin out in slick conditions. Plus i believe the base doesent even have HID high beams? :P
