April 5th - Cape May NJ Shoot ***PICS***
All I can say is, great time. I can’t wait to see the video!!!
The weather was pretty much rain for the entire trip down to Cape May from NYC, but as we got closer to our final destination the rain "sort of" went away. Drizzle here and there with pockets of sunshine, but pretty much over cast for the entire day. Even though the weather wasn't perfect, we really had a fun time. I'm looking forward to Summer road trips and warm temps. I was very impressed with the # of Z's that turned up. I believe we had about (23) Z's, every color... but Redline.
Myself and JonSilvrZ were the one's there on Saturday morning (I'm disappointed boys). We waited about 15-20 minutes for others to show. So the trip began @ 9am, leaving from Queens (Triborough bridge). I spoke to Ethan @ 8:00am, thanks for the wake-up call. Don't do it again! Arrived @ exit 100 rest stop and met up with Ethan, Jay (aka, John, Jeff, Heff...), and a couple of others. From there we headed down the GSP until we met up with ZGirl and began our wild ride down to Cape May, NJ.
After arriving in Cape May, we decided to clean the Z's at the local car wash (self power wash), good call Ethan. From there we began our final 5 minute drive to the meet, when (typical) a state trooper appeared an began following our caravan of Z's. I was riding the left hand side (hugging the center line) to get a better view of the line of Z's in front and made the mistake of crossing onto (not over) the double center lines. That's a NO! NO! when you have the police watching your every move. I was fortunate enough to be given a warning, but I really think he just wanted a closer look at the car. He was smiling and told me to have a nice day. Thanks officer.
After all the drama in the last mile to the meet, I was glad to arrive.
Thanks for a great time. Looking forward to the next gathering.
Here are some pics...
Enjoy. -m
