76k miles.
when cold there's a little more resistance than normal into 2nd and 3rd.
when warmed up it's smooth as can be.
this, to me, is not a problem.
no other problems other than the redline being a little low and the motor only making 287 hp...

What did you do to fix the tire feathering? Just an alignment?? What did everyone else do? So far, I have just replaced my tires.

I HAVE AN 03 with no tranny problems but BAD Tire feathering.

My '03 has about 28,000. No tranny problems and no feathering but I changed rims. I do get the window streaks still!

The question I have is has nissan ever put out a number or % of cars affected with tranny trouble.i realize on a forum like this you will get more noise from the unhappy camp.
What I would like is for all 03 owners to give feedback either you have had the issue or not and the mileage on your car.
Thanks

don't forget window streaking, tire feathering, and the other stuff that the 2003 had wrong with it. just do a simple search of here or go to the last pages of particular threads. there you will find the complaints from the 2003 owners

I have an 03 and no problems with the transmission. I have 25k miles on my car. If it does not happen early on I have been told it won't.

had an 03 base with 60k and the third gear synchro was gone, got rid of it and now my 03 performance has 43k with only minor problems (dont know if it has them or not haha) it's very notchy but never grinds. its actually smoothest when it's cold which is weird because it's the opposite of everyone elses
