Just kidding, hopefully you can get it fixed, but if you want to sell the varis sides and front i am your buyer.
edit...the rears might even be usable.

I'm 62. Sometimes I drive too fast but I don't gather tickets. (One ticket in the last ten years). I think my skills are still sharp. Maybe not what they were when I was 25 but then I did drive much faster and was more of a threat to the safety of others than I am now. Want me to take a driving test? Any time.
My dad is 85. Still drives. A lot less now than in the past but even though his skills aren't all that sharp any more his judgment is still good. He doesn't have any habits that make his driving a threat to others but I still would like for him to take a test each year. Still, he doesn't have any true alternative to driving himself to the store or the doctor. I live 400 miles away and there is no one else to cover his needs.
Being practical, we don't have many alternatives for older people to get around. Public transportation is s joke in most of the country.

Yikes!!! I agree with some sort of testing above a certain age. I lost my 04 TT Roadster to a 70-year old man who ran a red light and hit me head on in his Crown Vic. Both cars plus my right knee blotto.
