I have almost 57k on my '03 and it has produced this smell since I've owned it. Since I'm still on the stock clutch, I have a hard time believing its clutch burning. Unless that is one hell of a bulletproof oem clutch disk...

I dunno, i'v pushed all the car's iv driven hard at least once and the Z is the first to give me a burnt smell almost every time.

Sorry to bump this thread but I'm pretty relieved. I only get a burning smell in 4th gear (If I'm redlining every gear) and its when I get above 5-6k RPMs. My 07 has 40k miles on it but the clutch has less than 10k.

This situation is also perfectly normal right?

sounds normal. and i think its ok to bump old threads since the mods keep on telling you to search for older threads that have already been up about certain topics.
