Well, here I am lying around watching one of my favorite shows (Mythbusters) and what is tonights myth about? Speed Cameras. They tested to see if some of the common "blockers" work, i.e. blocker spray, the grating lens, hairspray, plastic wrap plus one other.

To make the long story short, do they work - NO.

So don't waste you money on any of them. None of them really work.

Diverting your attention from driving to flip a twitch while running a yellow is the perfect time to get T-boned. Go for it!

That's a great idea. Instead of getting a parking ticket, your car gets towed for no plate.

Watched that last night too. Am I the only one who thinks it was stupid to go to the trouble of getting an LP640 just to go 40 mph faster than a Neon? Why did they move to a 1/4 mile track when they got the fast car? Buncha dumbasses. BTW, Top Gear did outrun a speed camera, so it can be done. The difference was that the guys at Top Gear aren't a bunch of pussies and ran close to 200mph.

I can't believe how some PT Barnum types still exist and can get away with selling snake oil like the License Plate Photo Blocker Sprays. There is a sucker born every minute.

I saw that Mythbusters as well, they ran a Lamborghini Murcielago up to around 145 MPH and it got the photo clear as day. I can't believe that 200 MPH would have fared too much better. The radar camera works at the speed of light. But if you have a link please post it and I will harrass the producers of Mythbusters.

the thing is,

even if something did work, do you think they would ever admit that to the public?
