Question about purchasing a 350z
I have a question. Maybe you guys can help me.
I missed the pre-order phase but I still want a 350z. I don't need to have it by this year. Getting it the beginning or middle of next year is fine. But do you think I should call the dealerships around my area and put down a deposit down right now or wait till next year to purchase the car. The thing I am afraid of is not being able to get the car at MSRP. People have been getting the 350z at MSRP for "reserving" a car that is going to be delivered at the dealership.
One more question. When is the approx. date for the dealerships to have the 350z. Thanks

I would suggest finding a dealership right now which will take your deposit and will get your car for MSRP. Make sure you get a copy of contract. I know a lot of dealers will do this right now. Once the car comes, they will go to whoever will give the most over MSRP for them.
If you place an order right now with the dealer you should expect to get it by December-January. No guarantees on delivery date ofcourse, but that sures beats the hell out of paying $2000+ over MSRP.

you maybe be able to get a preorder Z
There are people who preordered who can no longer get their z for whatever reasons and are selling their deposits. Post in the classified section if your interested in taking over someone else's order.
You can also try this route at your local dealership. Have them put you down on a list in case any of their preorderers back out.
Or you can try and put a deposit down at a dealership for when they get theirs in.
As far as when dealers will get their Z's, the honest truth is no one knows for sure but I truly believe it will be Nov. at the earliest.
If you can wait till next year, you maybe able to get a used one from somebody trading in for a convertible.

I keep hearing from dealerships that special orders are being taken now. Special orders are orders for post pre-production releases. (That sounds weird: post pre-xxx)
