Seeking advise from fellow Z members
I am looking to purchase 2004 350Z with 89k miles. The car has clean title and it is touring edition with some issues. First, paint on the hood is faded and chipping. Second, the driver leather seat is torn on the side bolster. Third, Bose system does not work. How much is it to fix these problems and is there anything I should look for? Thanks.

Hood will need to be stripped, primed and repainted. Budget $600-700. The DS seat will need to be reupholstered and will be a bit less than the paint if you look for a local shop to do the work. The BOSE system is a bit tougher to figure out-. maybe it's a blown fuse or something relatively simple, or maybe the headunit is gone and you need to buy an aftermarket unit.
Bottom line: unless this is really a cheap car, you have a lot of work to do. Check kbb or Edmunds for pricing and deduct $3-4K off the price to get an idea of whether it's worth it or not.

Those small things are not issues those are your looking to buy an 11 year old used car that cost $32000 11 years ago and now your probably picking up for less then 10k. If these small things bother you dont buy the car, the big issues your going to discover later will probably really throw you.
Good luck

I just never understand buyers. I can understand if the clutch is slipping then it's cause for lower price but nit picking on easy fixes blows my mind.
I wold be more warry if the vehicle looked too new and had fresh paint. Doesn't sound like the seller is trying to cover anything up.

My front bumper is literally covered in chips to where its really ugly even from far away, also half of the hood is chipped too. But I was more okay with cosmetic damage on a low mileage car than if it was a rebuilt title or a salvage title. lol.
