Default Do you get wheel hop

Do you get wheel hop when you launch hard and the rear tires break loose. How can this be prevented? Will the eibachs or the Nismo suspension fix this?

Yep, I do.

I installed Teins and it didn't help at all.

Stiffer bushings should help this.

Do you know if anyone makes bushings yet? How hard would that be to install?

No, I don't. With the stock tires, they spun through 2nd gear, with the wider S-03's, they just chirp a little in 2nd, but 1st still doesn't hop.

I get the hop, not sure why but some do some dont, I could occasionally burn, and othertimes not at all, depended on temp, surface, and I guess exact method.

i have had wheel hop just once, it was actually at the start of an autocross. Weird thing is every other time i launched that day i had no wheel hop at all. My launch rpm's were the same on every run, so i am clueless.

I had the VDC off in the rain one day and stomped the gas. When the tires broke lose the back started hoppin. I never thought it would happen in the rain, I figured that the extra slickness of the rain would have made an easy slip.

www.350evo.com makes bushings

If you have any mechanical experience and have the correct torque settings, it shouldn't be too hard to install.

Lowering the tire pressure will also help the wheel hop, but that's not something you want to do for everyday driving or track driving. I'd only do this for the 1/4 where you'd experience the most wheel hop.
