Default It's an obsession!

Well everyone as this is my first post I would like to tell the story of my Zed infatuation. I am a 19 yr old full time college student that is IN NEED of a car suited for his age. At the moment I have a 2004 Cadillac SRX fully optd with everything I wanted in a car...well not everything. Although its a v8 and gas is a b*tch on me i am still craving a car more suitable for me! Currently i feel as if I am a soccer dad with room to put 4 kids and soccer equipment comfortably in my trunk. Now some of you may think I am spoiled and not greatful for what was given to me...but your wrong. I have been saving for months, working 40-50 hr weeks and going to school just so I can have enough money for my future Z. My first car was a 92 eg civic that i paid in full with cash so this is going to be my first big investment and hopefully the right one. I plan to start shopping in about a month or so this way I know winter will be out of the way for sure. I hope this is normal and I am not the only one who is going or went through this in order to get their baby. Oh btw I plan to buy an 05/06 touring hopefully in DB or PPW *fingers crossed*

Its funny because i decided i wanted a Z in a matter of 1 day i had bought a 1991 toyota supra already pimped out with about 80,000 miles on it for $5,000 and trust it was pushing 350hp at like 12 or 13 psi something like that so was worth the 5 grand and my parents didnt want me to buy that car cuz it was to fast so they took me to the nissan dealer i was looking when i remeber nissan make one of my fav cars 350z so i got my 6,000 saved up over a 2 year period walked up to my parents and said i want that and that only if not im going to fly down to texas and get my supra right now hahahaha and no im not spoiled so dont start flaming cuz i pay for every cent on my Z. So after and hour of looking at the car test driving it twice we went and started hagling i made them drop the price from $30,000 to $25,000 still alot for an 2004 touring but it was a dealership and that $5,000 was worth the 6 hours of arguing and *****ing hahah well its been 4 months and i love my Z its great drives great and i only have 1 speeding ticket knock on wood

ps: i love how my parents still let me buy a fast car hahahah good thing my dad and uncle are huge Z fans my uncle drove a 300zx twin turbo and i think my dad had a datsun 280z hahah

dont listen to him. get whatever car you want. im 22 and have had the Z for a lil over a year... WITH NO TICKETS OR ACCIDENTS i might add. before you get on this forum you gotta know a lot of these guys get a lil pissed off when they find out your age.

but i understand a lot of Zs that get totaled are being driven by younger people. recently a customer of mine at work purchased an 07 Z... hes 53 years old, and has no passion for cars whatsoever. that is what irks me. BUY A G35 atleast.

there are a lot of good cars out there. take a bmw 3-series. thats pretty good for a well-to-do college student. but ya... just look at all yer options.

Sorry i forgot to mention I am going to keep my current car as I am not making payments or paying for insurance on it, so i decided to go after what i really want. Came too close last year buying a s2k but being 6,1 i felt as if the car was too small for me. I can see how some people may start to flame saying that im just another young punk thats gonna ruin "their" scene but i plan to keep my car stock (i like the z as is) and at the age of 19 almost 20 i have no tickets/accidents under my record so i believe i am a responsible enough driver. And i think i will be able to handle the power of the car mainly because my father has a cts-v that i drive often so speed/power would not be an issue.

A del, one rule you need to follow is to not solicit on the forums. If you want to sell a book or something then do it in the classified section when you are a member here for at least a couple of months.

Yes, i do live with my parents as well as going to school. College is only about 20 mins from where I live so I dont have to pay for room and board. I plan to live with my parents for a couple of years (hey if you live in the basement and do what ever you want...why leave??)

You got me there, i guess, but i dont plan on moving out...why should I? I have a good relationship with my family and as my car goes sure its a caddie but ever since ive gotten it all ive seen are women driving it. Its kinda akward and I really want a car I can have fun in hence why my first car was a 92 eg civic till i blew the motor and sold it as is.
