It does not say he "was NOT unimpressed." Check this:

"Jay Leno has a Z and was unimpressed" <== from the post

For all...

Regardless, his opinion does count, just as yours or mine does, but nothing more. It makes zero difference the if a person is a celebrity or not. Now if he was a car racer, or car expert, maybe. A car collector (of various types no less) does not make one an expert.

Cool

I'll say it again and try to be more clear....

The post on Zcar that said Jay was unimpressed was put there by someone not connected with the show that heard a rumor..

For those that don't know...Jay was a mechanic for years before he became a stand up...he collects cars for two reasons..because he can...and because they are and always have been his passion...he still has every car he's ever owned...he is the most knowledgable man I know personally when it comes to cars...

As far as who cares about his opinoin...I do because this is a man that has driven some of the most powerful and exotic cars in the world...and more importantly..knows them inside out..

BTW Doc, I've riden the VRod...fast and smoothe..115HP rocket

Well, I feel that everyone's opinion is interesting and should be heard. Why wouldn't you want to know, especially from someone who owns hundreds of rare and exotic cars?
Bring it on I say.

I just dont hope he isnt not anti-unimpressed.

Actually I heard that he was not-not-anti-anti-unimpressed, but I could be mistaken. BTW, I agree completely that it would be nice to hear his opinion, I mean we devour everything that is put on the internet by people we know nothing about. At least we know he has legitimate car credentials. We also know that he has a lot of money and can drive the most wonderful cars in the world. To me, the fact that he is even driving the Z for a short while, instead of one of his $200K wonders is a hopeful sign.

I think there are a lot more "not" and "anti" that should be in there. Maybe like 30 or 40.

I think his, and everyone elses opinion IS valid and good to hear.

He is not an authority, though. Nobody is on the Z. When it is out and we see it over time, then we can all become more of an authority.

I think people were starting to feel that because Jay Leno is a celebrity (and a good one), that he is THE authority. He isn't. Nobody is.

His opinion DOES count, just like mine and yours.

Jay's opnion is important for one reason. He has actually driven the Z! The vast majoirty of the folks here can't say that. I will listen to anyone that has actually driven the car. If that person also has experiance with a wide variety of cars (like a magazine test driver or a rabid collector like Jay), their opnion means a little more. Will Jay's comments be the definitive word on the Z? No, one one has that kind of say. I will simply file his comments away with all the others as simply interesting facts to mull over till my Z gets here.

As long as he doesn't bash the car, I don't really care either way. It would be nice to see him with the car, though.

Default I'm sure Jay will love the Z.

The tilt steering wheel and guage cluster will allow room for his chin.

(there is a good photoshop opportunity here...)

Maybe perhaps you shouldn't not post his impression if he isn't unimpressed, but if not then I wouldn't mind not knowing about it. Thx

I absolutely completely do not not agree with the sentiment that is not not posted here.

Cool

I'm on a short break and I just talked with Jay...these are his initial impressions...remember he hasn't put that many miles on the car yet....

"I like the car. It is tight and handels very well"

This from a man that has driven some of the best...

BTW..he also confirmed that he never said the car was gutless or that he was unimpressed...so much for rumors...check your sources people

Kewl. BTW, next time you see Jay, let him know I do great Shadow puppets, he will probably want to devote an entire show to my shadow puppets.

Default Leno

Remember, the guy is a millionaire and can buy ANY car he wants. I wouldn't be disappointed if he was unimpressed. I mean, you can't compare the Z to a Ferarri or a Diablo or something.

So... how does Jay Leno have a car that hasn't been released yet?
