I am 24 right now, and my parents paid for me up till this week. They where nice enough to pay for a roof, food, gas, and insurance. I graduated in October and finely found a job this month. Been working for 3 weeks now and I am getting the bills. Its hurts, my first check is gone, and some of the second.
I was worried at the time about school so I didn’t pick up a job. But I NEVER asked for a car. Give you ole man a break. I’ve been in a 95 explorer for 6 years now. And at the current rate all have it another 6 months before I get a Z.
So basically life is going easy for ya now, but when you get into the real world it bites, and bites hard. Heck it hurts and I am still not paying rent or utilities at the moment.
As for a price. Dallas, Tx

My parents can easily afford to buy me a car so I can just go to school and mooch off of them till I'm 23. I guess my parents care enough to prepare me for something called the real world where sh*t doesn't always go your way. It all depends on what your parents want to do. If they are willing to spend as much as a new one go for that. If they want to pay cash and spend around $20k then go for a used one.
