The San Marino Blue is nice, but I still prefer Daytona Blue. I like Daytona Blue as much now as the day I first saw it. I like my DB Z even better.

My best friend has a Daytona blue 06, and I have an SMB blue 07. Side by side in some light the DB absolutely trumps the SMB in looks, but in low light and shadows, especially getting some angles on it, the SMB really shines.

The weakness of the color is that the base color is a gray, the only other option for a dark blue is to base in purple, but with light saturation, the metallic flake can draw the gray out and the paint loses all its depth, even with the best of wax on it.

SMB is beautiful. I wish that color was available for '06. I would have seriously considered it.

i saw a solar orange roadster on the freeway today and let me say, that is probably the most hideous color the 07 Z's come in. in my opinion, a lighter color Z will show the hump on the hood more, if it's darker, it's not as noticable. i like the SMB Z over the DP =)

I saw a Solar Orange coupe at my local dealer last weekend. It is an odd color, almost like the color of a DOT work truck that you see working on the roads. From a distance it doesn't look good at all. However, when you get up close to it it has a different look. Still not my cup of tea.

SMB is a great color! Still though, you'll have the same issues keeping it clean as the Black.

On another note. The worst color ever has to be that new Orange. Two things I thought when I saw it today at the dealer:

1) Looks like it was painted by your next door neighbors kid
2) I just wanted to slap a confederate flag on the top of it and an 01 on each door.

I love the SMB but IMO if you are going to get that color it's the same as getting SB or MB. You'll be washing your car every other day.

I congratulate every DB owner on their choice in colors.

As a Silverstone owner, I have no horse in this race. To me, Daytona Blue is the most awesome color I've ever seen. The DB Z's are really my favorites, but I'm just too conservative to have one myself. I looked far and wide to get the first Silverstone Track Model I could get my grubby little paws onto, but I will always love DB the most.

While all those pictures of the DB's are beautiful, photographs do not do this color justice. It has to be seen in person. It is such a beautiful color that it is shocking. For myself, I always prefer grays/silvers on my own car, but nothing turns my head like a DB Z.

Who knows? Maybe for my next car I'll be more bold and get a DB if the color is still available.
