Default Any Of You Drive Your Z In The Winter?

So i have been saving my money to buy a 350Z since 03 when i first seen one at our nissan dealer... i am almost there
Although i do love these cars more than any other there is one fact that will determine the possibltiy of getting one, has any one on this forum drive there Z year round in the snow and ice through all elements? Cuz my friend just bought a RX8 last year and he drives it year round and doesnt have much of a problem with it so i am assuming it wouldnt be to bad... and i am used to driving a high power RWD w/o traction control in the winter... but i though that i would ask all of you guys

I have driven mine the past two winters, you will be ok with snow tires, as long as you dont drive like an idiot.

Personally I don't use mine in the winter coz you have to drive so slow and going up hills in snow is impossible. Why not buy yourself a beater as well.

It does ok in the snow with snow tires. For the price of snow wheel/tire setup you could buy an inexpensive FWD beater, thus saving the Z's ever so fragile paint from exposure to road salt, cinders, etc. Factor in an extra $1-2k on top of your Z price for some sort of winter driving aid, whether it is cheap beater or winter wheels & tires.

Hey,
I know a few Z owners that drive all year round. You will be fine as long as you purchase a set of quality snow tires.

Oh and FYI, your friend with the Rx8 has no issues because the renesis engine produces about half the torque that a Z puts down.

I believe most agree that the Z can be driven on snow and ice as long as you mount good snow tires.

OP TooWise, Since this was your first post you deserve a break. But if you really want to learn about the Z, it would be helpful if you figure out how to search for the hundreds of answers already given on this particular topic in the forums using the "Search" button. If that ends up frustrating you AFTER trying, people will gladly give you a helping hand to your specific question. We know the search can be too tedious sometimes.
Welcome to the forum and hopefully you too can contribute to helping others with your gained knowledge and experience.
