I would have used one of the other local colloquialisms (Cumstang) but I figured a lot of people wouldn't know that one. In any case, I'm glad I was able to brighten your day

For a lot of stuff, that is definitely the way to go. I saw somebody complaining in another thread about track wheels costing over $1400 a piece from the dealer. I picked up a set of four for $600 to Autocross on.

Actually i found it to be the same as any other car except exotics. It's just that with some cars people are more willing to just drop random parts in their cars that have little or no R&D behind em. You want an exhaust that is made completely out of titanium, you're gonna have to pay for it. No matter what car.

That's a reasonable price for wheels only, no tires, no TPS. Now I'm on the lookout for a set of Brembos.

Consider not moddin it and keep it!! If I buy something else, it will be because I want it.
I bought quality(=good enough for me), inexpensive parts and am satisfied.

RUFF wheels
DNX exhaust
Motordyne spacer used, cheap
2nd hand headers and testpipes
I custom made my sub box

Less Z's than civics out there...R&D costs...we'll pay it with a smile...those are the reasons

Top 10 reasons the Z is better than ur girl friend

1) You can turn the Z anytime with the turn on a key
2) You can ride ur Z rough and she'll just smile back at you
3) It doesn't ride it you take her for a test ride before you maker her yours
4) She will never gain weight

the cost of modding this car is well worth it when you feel the gains

meh, it's not too bad. There were a crapload more Civis sold last year than Z's. That alone makes prices higher.

But it's relative, prices are pretty competative. A JWT popcharger is only like 125 bucks and it makes the car sound better and perform better. Suspension parts aren't that much more than other cars. Turbo kits are expensive, no matter what the car. I don't really think that it's that much more $ to mod the Z.
Of course, American cars and Civics will always be cheaper

I just wonder what is up with all the little expensive things out there. I want the pieces to go on the headlights so it wraps the hood in but they are like $60 unpainted. That is just freakin ridiculous for something like that. $100 shift *****? You've got to be kidding me.
