That put off the Z for 4 years. My sacrifice has been not buying a Porsche 911 for 3 years, which I'm hoping to rectify this summer.
Great post. You made the right decision IMO. Good luck with buying a Porsche, they're a kick in the ***.

1) well lets see my bmw is now parked outside
2) i broke up with my gf but not just because i was getting the car, but my z had a hand in it
3) it was alot of money
things ive gained: dating one girl and having two on the side, as well as having a sick ride such as the z..priceless

Sacrifices I've made for my Z:

-I park out in BFE @ work, and trained some others to park staggered (it's worked for more than a year now )
-I drove 3.5 hours one way to pickup my new exhaust
-I don't smoke in my car at all! (currently on my 5th day of Chantix)
-I don't eat in my car, not even gum!
-I wash / wax / vacuum / 303 as often as I can to always keep her clean (pollen sucks)
-I've placed a day/night camera on my car which records movement since I park on the street (I live in a cul-de-sac)

I can't say the z come b4 the wife but a close 2nd!

I gave up any chance i had at moving out of my parents house, I dont go out of the house except for work, and I cant really afford gas for the car. Let me just say I have HONESTLY waxed the car more often than I have filled it with gas.....and that is no joke.

I work the night shift at UPS from 3AM-9AM before school everyday so I have money to mod and finish paying off my loan. I also am taking 15 credit hours this semester. Waking up and looking at the turbo kit gets me out of bed everyday

My dad actually told me to go ahead and buy the Z when I was looking for a car because I wanted it... and no, he didn't help me pay for it. My parents are different than most, they have been wanting me to move home since I left. They have a pretty bad case of empty nest syndrome. I'm also still in college and I'm never home except when I come home to sleep, so it's not as bad as it sounds.

Believe me, this crossed my mind several times, but I figure I'm still in college so neither statement is much of a big deal in college. I did kind of imply that I can't afford an apartment...I can still afford to live out of the house, but not by much.

I grew up racing motocross and we had a big RV Trailer, I had 3 of my own dirtbikes pratice, racebike and just a bike to toy around on. When I turned 16 I was into getting my license and car and what not so I gave up racing and my dad paid for my first car 2002 RSX Type S with the money from selling everything off. Then I traded my car in 2 months ago for the Z. I have been working throughout highschool at a golf club making 15 an hour so I have banked some cash over the last 3 years. Its nice turning 19 in a month and having my car almost paid off and should be boosted by mid summer.

Yeah well my first semester of school I was going to a local school on a ride for lacrosse and It was just way to much going on for me to seriously concentrate on schooling workouts or running every AM and afternoon So I dropped out and have been going to a local community college and woking 30 hours a week. Im happy with my decision I have plans on transfering elsewhere next year being a athlete wasnt for me Im not great at managing my time which you have to be to be a college athlete. there was a kid on our lax team though whos parents had just bought him a loaded 07 Z which pissed me off that some parents just would go out and buy him that kind of a car for going to college.
