I don't have a Z (yet) but a lot of people my age at my school had them. if it wasn't that, it was a 3-series, EVO or STi. I had a 94 mazda MPV I mobbed like a gangsta though.

like a few others i sacraficed spending 80 bucks a night at the bar. now i limit myself to 40 and usually only go out on fri and sat. i graduated college and live at home...im almost 23 and am saving up to move out. im now a cheap bastard paying for the Z, insurance, phone and saving. I have 7500 in the bank right now and should have about 15K by the end of the year if nothing goes wrong and then will b able to move out. my sis lived home till she was 25 tho so i could live at home that long and try and save close to 50K before i move lol imagine that house warming party. itd be insane

I just bought a house, and now I am driving a old POS and saving cash. Should have 20k spendable in the bank by January, then going car hunting. I just can't make myself pay interest on a depreciable asset.

I could have probably made some great scientific discovery if I didn't spend so much time on this forum and thinking about cars in general.

Econ 101... Opportunity cost, my man. What else could you have spent all that cash on if not the Z?

I had to make sure to find an apartment that had gated/secured/underground parking for my Z, which really limits the places you can find (and increases the rent) when you also have to find a place that accepts big dogs. But... No more parking on the street and walking out to my car in the morning to find the window smashed.
