Default Wife took in Z to get new tranny, they wanted to give her a METRO, WTF

My wife took the car to our Dealer today for a new tranny, so they sent her to enterprise rent-a-car to get her sub car for the time its in the shop. They told her the only car she could get is a GEO METRO. I was laughing my a$$ off. She almost called me crying. You are talking about a person that won't drive my 95' lexus b/c its not good enough for her. Oh well, she complained her way into a fully loaded malibu. At least Nissan let us rent a car.

yeah when i took mine in to inquire about them fixing the problems they said they don't provide loaners while they are doing warranty work. i blew up on the guy about it. i mean hell even acura gave me a car to drive while there was warranty work being done on the car. why should i have to pay extra out of my pocket for transportation when they should have made my car properly to begin with.

Lol, no offense, but you drive a nissan. A geo metro is better than walking.

Enterprise doesn't care what your daily car is, they rent what they have unless you want to pony up for an upgrade. Your dealer obviously will pay for their lowest car as to their contract with them.

My dealer would give me a rental when my car was in the shop (twice in three years for minor things) and I always got some S10 or a cavalier. I didn't complain.

I agree, Lexus gives me a better car then GS300 I have now. My buddy has an MINI, when there is something minor wrong w/ his car, he gets one of BMW 500 series. He tries to find stuff wrong w/ his car.

You would have to know my wife. This thread makes her sound kind of snooty, but she really isn't, a real good hearted person, just doesn't like Metros. I would take the metro in pride, stroll around, blast the sterio, where mesh tank top, try and grow a mullet in one day, race fbody's fiesta's, and put a local rock and roll radio station bumper sticker on. If you have to drive a metro, might as well make the best of it.

i like the Lexus dealerships in my experiences with them.

they give you the same or close to the same car model which you left for repairs at their shop under a warranty. I drove it like it’s not mine and took a few even to the track just to burn the hell out of it.

Oooooo....i LOOOVE driving rentals...i push rental cars about 10x harder than i do my z...i remember constantly redlining a protege with only 150 miles i had recently. And when its just rained...take the rental out to a big empty parking lot...now thats fun for free!

First time I had to get a rental (while having the Z) they gave me a Toyota Camry. 2nd time I got a Dodge Ram Full Size 4 door 1500 truck, it was huge. Went from one extreme to the other, felt like I was driving a bus.

No shizz! Its just a frickin Nissan. I drove a MAlibu while my S2K was in da sjop....paid for=no complaints.

Tell your wife to buy a Bimmer or Benz if she expects to get the treatment and ego stroking she oblviously needs.

IMHO of course

Back when I was driving BMW's they always gave me a nicer loaner than what I was driving and consequently kept me trading up for the nicer car.

Just a thought. Mercedes Benz on the other hand put me in a Ford Escort once and several other beater enterprise cars. I wonder if they will miss me?

Yah, its so funny too, they did it in Tulsa and in Denver more than once. You know BMW owns MINI. You would just have to know my friend, he is full of life. I never seen a man so proud of Mini. We will be driving in, girls laughing at us, and he thinks they're hitting on us.

Well when you pay around 37k for a car, you should get something close, a lot lexus and bmw's don't cost that much. It may be just a Nissan to you, but its more than that to her. I just think its funny. I would of drove the metro w/ pride. Gun it every chance I get, e brake the shlT out of it. HeII, I would of even took it off road, I got AAA.
